BRIDGING THE GAP: IMPROVING COMMUNICATION BETWEEN THE POLICE & YOUNG PEOPLE

  • Star House 43 Division St S1 4GE (map)

FREE - Please book

In association with Sheffield Futures and South Yorkshire Police

How can the police better communicate with young people? Why wouldn’t a young person report a crime? What can be done to change that? Following on from Sheffield Youth Cabinet’s knife crime consultations with young people that stated there was a gap in communication between the police and our city’s youth, we want to start a discussion to see how we can work together for a better, safer, Sheffield. Join Sheffield Young Advisors and South Yorkshire Police as they come up with the answers.

After the event, we will have an online survey that we will send out to all attendees for their thoughts and opinions. We will be reporting on the on-going project by Sheffield Young Advisors and South Yorkshire Police to improve communications.

This event is part of the 'Living Together' strand which has kindly been sponsored by Learn Sheffield, Create Sheffield and Cohesion Sheffield.
